How to Handle your postpartum visitors

Whether you're entering your first postpartum era, or you've been there before, there's one thing that never changes: this period is sacred, for mama, for baby, and for the little family you've created.

Each family is unique and different, as is each Mama - but it's important that you have a discussion with your loved ones about how you'd like your postpartum to look.

Here are some tips on how to entertain visitors during this time:

✨ Be clear about your boundaries. If you'd prefer no visitors in hospital, or in the early days after birth, just say so - and no feeling guilty for this decision!

✨ Let your loved ones know that you'd prefer no drop ins, this will let you stagger their visits around rest times for you and for your baby.

✨ Have a 'signal' with your partner, so that if it all gets too much, they can start to gently nudge your visitors out the door.

✨ Say yes to help! Meals, help with older siblings, if it's offered.. take it!

✨ Listen to your body - if you need to rest, rest!
