What are muslin wraps made of?
A muslin wrap is a lightweight fabric that’s usually made from cotton. This makes them soft and breathable. Bubba Bump’s organic muslin wraps are entirely made from bamboo cotton, meaning they are both high grade and entirely environmentally friendly.
What are the benefits of using bamboo muslin?
Bamboo fabric absorbs moisture away from the skin and has a far better absorption level than cotton. It’s antibacterial and hypoallergenic, two important considerations when it comes to taking care of toddlers. Our bamboo baby wraps are also well insulated. This keeps your baby cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Last but not least, baby muslin wraps made from bamboo fabric are eco-friendly. So you’re actually helping your baby and the planet with each bamboo baby wrap.
How do you clean muslin wraps?
The muslin wrap is made of delicate fabric and is not heat-friendly. The best way to clean baby muslin wraps is to wash the cloth by hand in cold water. Ideally, you should use a gentle laundry soap instead of any harsh chemicals. Once washed, lay the cloth flat and let it dry. You can use the dryer on low heat, though it’s recommended that you remove the baby wrap before it’s completely dry.
How many hours a day should a baby be swaddled?
There’s no perfect number here since it depends on the baby’s age. Most newborns are calm when they are swaddled 12-20 hours a day. As your toddler grows older this should be reduced as they would need to spend more time out of the swaddle.
